As you approach Jerez, you will start noticing the characteristic Moorish architecture, the heritage of 400 years of Moors occupation. Take a stroll through the old town and visit the 12th century Alcazar, a former Moorish fortress which was also a palace. Make sure you visit it's stunning gardens and Arab baths.
Nearby stands the Cathedral, an impressive gothic building with Baroque and Neoclassical elements.
Jerez is blessed with many stores in the historical center so you may also venture in Calle Larga, the biggest pedestrian street, or one of the shopping galleries to pick up a special souvenir.
Make sure you visit one of the 36 cellars to learn about sherry and sample some of the worldwide famous production.
If you rather chill at a cafe, the Plaza de Arenal with its fountain and typical Andalusian charm will offer dozens of perfect spots to please you. Taste some of the local tapas at one of the numerous cafes while observing the locals in their daily life.
After a lovely stay, you will be dropped back to the port of Cadiz at least 2 hours before your ship departs.
