Following a hotel pick-up, you will head for one of the city’s top attractions, the former imperial residence of Ottoman rulers at Topkapi Palace. Continue to Süleymaniye Mosque, the largest mosque in Istanbul, and a masterpiece of Sinan, chief architect of the Ottoman Empire. Built during 16th-Century, in the name of Süleyman The Magnificent, the mosque dominates the 3rd hill of Istanbul, and is studded with domes, semi-domes, and elegant arches.
You will also visit the less well known Kuçuk Ayasofya Mosque, located between Cankurtaran and Kadırga neighborhoods in the Eminonu district. Also known as the Little Hagia Sophia, admire the mosque’s restored interior, complete with columns of verd antique and red Synnada marble.
