Following a pick-up from your hotel in the city center, transfer by air-conditioned vehicle to the Travel Café for a master class in how to make perfect Turkish coffee in a cezve (traditional Turkish coffee pot). Learn how to brew Turkish tea in a charming café in the old city. Savor the taste of a traditional Turkish coffee, served with freshly baked achma (bagel) and sweets.
Continue to the Egyptian Bazaar near Eminonu, and wander among the stalls selling oriental sweets, herbs and spices from all over the world. Breathe in the exotic aromas of cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, saffron and Turkish coffee.
Next, go to the Rustem Pasha Mosque (1550-1561), designed by the Ottoman architect, Mimar Sinan on the orders of Rustem Pasha. Completed after the Grand Vizer’s death by his wife Mihrimah, the mosque reflects his character through its many windows, marble columns, Iznik tiles, and generous use of light.
