What to Expect
Your half-day tour begins when your guide picks you up at your hotel and you head out on foot to visit the largest and oldest palace in the world.
At Topkapi Palace you’ll tour the luxurious residence and treasury of the Ottoman sultans. You’ll have the opportunity to explore the palace and the grounds in depth on a 2-2.5 hour visit.
Afterwards, your walk continues to the ancient hippodrome, where you’ll see obelisks dating back 2,500 years. Nearby is the famous Blue Mosque, which will be next on the itinerary.
Admire the interior of the Blue Mosque, entirely covered by blue ceramic tiles.
Last but certainly not least is a stop to explore the Grand Bazaar. This is the oldest and largest covered bazaar in the world, and is located in the heart of Istanbul. You’ll feel as if you’re in a giant labyrinth as you walk along some of its 60 lanes that house over 3,000 shops.
