What to Expect
Experience this special full-day Istanbul Jewish tour. In the morning after your hotel pick-up, visit the Jewish neighborhood of Galata where you will see Galata Tower built by the Genoese in 1303. You will then move on to the local synagogues Neve Shalom and the Askenazy Synagogue.
Afterwards, enjoy a break from sightseeing to have lunch. After lunch, you will head to Hagia Sophia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built in the 6th century. From there, visit Balat neighborhood where you will see the star of David appearing on building facades. Here you will visit the 15th century Ahrida and Yanbol Synagogues and a Jewish home for the elderly along the Golden Horn. After the tour ends, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
