Drive to Trekking Hellas rafting base in Klidonia, on the main road from Aristi village to Papingo village. There, the rafting team will welcome at 10:00am and provide you with the necessary safety equipment. When ready, a minibus will transfer you to the starting location, the bridge of Aristi-Papigo. During the transfer you will have impressive views of Mt. Tymphi, Astraka towers and Papigo villages. A safety briefing will follow, some river practice and off you go! During the descent, you will stop for optional refreshing dives in Voidomatis' crystal clear waters and visit the deserted 16th-century Agioi Anargyroi monastery. On the final part of the experience, you will paddle under Klidonia stone bridge's artificial waterfalls. The descent finishes shortly after Klidonia’s bridge just below Trekking Hellas rafting base. One thing is certain; by the time you reach the end, at approximately 13:00pm, you’ll wish you could start all over again!

Enjoy a light 3-hour hike with a trek leader from the Chapel of Profitis Ilias to the Beloi viewpoint in the Pindus Mountains, offering breathtaking panoramas of the limestone and dolomite rocks and virgin vegetation. Visitors to the Zagori area will often hear about Vradeto, the highest village in the region. But there is more to see than a mountain village. A stunning ride through varied landscapes leads to this small, picturesque place, from where you’ll start your hike of about 3.6 miles (6 kilometers). Suitable for the entire family, this is one of the easiest hiking routes in the Pindus Mountains, home to the world’s deepest gorge. After you’ve taken in views of the entire length of the Vikos Gorge, return to Vradeto for a short coffee break at the traditional kafenion (café), where you can see a photo exhibition. Next, you will walk the famous Vradeto rocksteps, a traditional stone-made path that used to connect Vradeto with the rest of the region’s settlements. End your tour close to the village of Kapesovo, where a transfer will be waiting to take you back to the meeting point.

Meteora is the second most important monastic center in Greece. The first ascetics came here in the 11th century. They flourished as a monastic center between the 13th and 14th century as many people who lived in the nearby areas embraced the monastic way of living. These unique and enormous columns of rock rise precipitously from the ground. But their unusual form is not easy to explain geologically. They are not volcanic plugs of hard igneous rock typical elsewhere, but the rocks are composed of a mixture of sandstone and conglomerate. This tour includes 3 visits to the monasteries plus several viewpoints of the magnificent scenery Great Meteoron Monastery The Holy Monastery of Great Meteoron or Monastery of the Transfiguration of the Saviour: It is the biggest of the monasteries. The church, honoured to the 'Transfiguration' was erected in the middle of 14th century and 1387/88 and decorated in 1483 and 1552. The old monastery is used as a museum, nowadays. Note: Every Tuesday is closed Monastery of Varlaam The Holy Monastery of Varlaam is the second, after the Great Meteoron, big in size monastery. The church, honoured to the three Bishops, is in the Athonite type (cross-in-square with dome and choirs), with spacious esonarthex (lite) surrounted by dome as well. It was built in 1541/42 and decorated in 1548, while the esonarthex was decorated in 1566. The old refectory is used as a museum while north of the Church we can see the chapel of the Three Bishops built in 1627 and decorated in 1637. Note: Every Friday is closed Holy Monastery of St. Stephan The Holy Monastery of St. Stephan is one of the most attainable as we don't have to cope with innumerable stairs to reach it. The small single – nave church of St. Stephan was built in the middle of 16th and decorated in 1545 or a little later. The 'Katholikon', honoured to St. Charalambos, was built in the Athonite type, in 1798. The old refectory of the convent is used as a museum nowadays. It operates as a nunnery. Note: Every Monday is closed Monastery of Varvara Rousanou The Holy Monastery of Varvara Rousanou, which is dedicated to 'The Transfiguration' but honoured to Saint Varbara. The 'Katholikon', in the Athonite type, was founded in the middle of 16th century and decorated in 1560. Both, the Katholikon and the reception halls are in the ground floor while the 'archontariki', cells and subsidiary rooms are scattered in the basement and the first floor. It operates as a nunnery. Note: Every Wednesday is closed Meteora Observation Deck Meteora Observation Deck is a unique observation place and what incredible views, this observation point seems like it is magical and unreal. This spot is perfect for photos and videos. Also is known as "Sunrise Rock", because it is an ideal location for watching the amazing sunrise and sunset, and visitors can enjoy the amazing panoramic view of the city, mountains and surrounding areas.

Experience the varied terrain and vistas of the Vikos Gorge in the Pindus Mountains and see untouched and untamed nature. Vikos Gorge is listed as the deepest gorge in the world by the Guinness Book of Records, and is famous for its unique natural beauty and crystal-clear waters. The full-day hike starts from the village of Monodendri on the southern rim of the gorge. It's a restored stone village of walled courtyards with fortress-like gates. Follow a signposted path near the open-air theater at the top of the trail, from where the path drops steeply to the Voidomatis River. Walk the course of the river through the shade, with sparkling water as your companion. After about 4 hours, you will reach the Voidomatis River springs. Continue through the woods for a while, hiking uphill to exit at Vikos village. The tour covers a distance of about 7.5 miles (12.6 kilometers), passing towering rocks and virgin vegetation. Upon arrival at Vikos, a transfer will be waiting to take you back to Monodendri.

We begin our daily guided tour from the picturesque valley of west Zagori, passing by Aristi, admiring the evolving landscape in the meantime. We stop at River Voidomatis, one of the cleanest rivers in Europe, where you can plunge into its icy cold water, should you wish to, and then climb to the villages of Papigo. We visit Ovires Rogovo, natural pools in a narrow canyon, and then the village of Mikro Papigo. Then we get back to cross a 1,090 m. pass to get to central Zagori in order to have a magnificent view of the Vikos Canyon at its deepest (almost a kilometer). There we have a small snack with traditional pies (like spinach pies reinforced with goat cheese and local herbs for a better taste), as well as season’s fruits and continue by visiting Dilofo, a village at the center of Zagori. After that, we marvel at some of the more than a hundred stone bridges surviving. The itinerary is open to suggestions, as we can, also, visit Monodendri, including another view of the Vikos Canyon, the villages of Kapesovo and Vradeto, or we can admire the Vikos Canyon from Beloi, skipping some of the original program.

Perched on the rugged mountain peaks, like eagles’ nests, the villages of the Tzoumerka mountain range are considered to be part of an area of outstanding natural beauty. You will be enchanted by the intricate mountain terrain and crystal-clear rivers. Traditional settlements, as well as the numerous churches and monasteries, bear witness to its former glory. Monastery of Kipina is located over the gorge of the river Kalarrytikos, at the entrance of the cave of the vertical rock is built one of the most impressive monasteries in Epirus. It is the Monastery of Kipina, which is said that it was named thus by the gardens (kipos in Greek) that its monks grew in the surrounding area. It was founded in 1212 by Archbishop Grigorios. The monastery flourished during the 18th century and its monks were active in social work. During the Turkish occupation, according to tradition, there was a secret school operated there. It is a men’s monastery, dedicated to the Dormition of the Virgin Mary but it celebrates on Bright Friday, feast day of Zoodochos Pigi (Life Giving Source). Kalarrytes is a village is built at an elevation of 1200m and it is known as the “gem” or the “eagle’s nest” of Epirus. It is populated mostly by Aromanians and has been officially characterized as a traditional settlement. The village used to be the centre of traditional processing of gold and silver. The distinguished goldsmithing businessmen families of Voulgari and Nessis come from Kalarrytes. Pramanta Village is situated at an altitude of 840 m., at the foot of the imposing peak of Stroggoula, behind which lies the mountain range of Tzoumerka. It’s at the centre of Tzoumerka and now a mountainous holiday resort, as the visitor can find everything there, from hotels, restaurants, bakeries, cafés and nightlife to a modern health centre, pharmacy, a centre of environmental education, and more. In this traditional village that embraces modern lifestyle, the visitor has access to any kind of information one may need. It is worth visiting the village’s central square, with its centenary plane tree and the famous fountain of Arapis in front of the prestigious church of Saint Paraskevi. Near Pramanta village, we visit the Anemotrypa Cave, with its three small lakes and colorful stalagmites in shades of grey, bronze and white. The stone bridge of Plaka at Arachthos River, the largest single-arch bridge in the Balkans and third in Europe, was demolished in 2015 by the surging river waters. It has now been restored and stands once again in its proper place. It is an important historical monument, and a breathtakingly magnificent sight. It was built in 1866, a masterpiece of architecture, 61m long., 21m high, 3,20m wide at the highest point with a 40 m. central arch. Paratriking is an activity aimed at all ages, all people, even people with mobility difficulties, since it is completely safe and no experience is required from them . The equipment needed by each passenger is given by the pilot/instructor. The activity is called paratriking as it involves a three-wheeled vehicle with two comfortable seats for both the passenger and the pilot to have an enjoyable flight. Both wear helmets with intercoms to talk during. With the trike's powerful engine and the right parachute, it only takes a minute to get up in the air and admire the view of the snow-capped mountains while feeling the sun and clouds on your skin. It is definitely a liberating experience that everyone deserves to experience!!
