Full description

Depart Inverness and travel via Loch Ness to the Isle of Skye. Loch Ness is the largest Loch by volume in the British Isles, and one of the deepest ones too. Famous worldwide for its elusive monster, it hosts one of the most iconic castles of Scotland: Urquhart Castle.

Visit the Fairy Pools. Walk the trail that takes you to the pools and enjoy a swim with the fairies. Next, stop at Talisker Single Malt Scotch Distillery based in Carbost. You'll go through the Visitor Centre (not on the tour) and, if available, sample one of the fine whiskeys produced here.

Continue your journey to the Isle of Skye, and see the small village of Portree for an afternoon break. Portree is a small harbor village, and the capital of Skye.

Before you travel back to Inverness, enjoy sights of the mighty Eilean Donan Castle, which is situated on its own island, and is one of Scotland’s most photographed castles.

Continue homeward bound to Inverness, where your tour ends.

This tour was truly amazing. Our guide, Gordon, was the perfect guide. He was fun, funny, knowledgeable, and super helpful. We made several stops along the way for food, breaks, to stop and shop, and admire scenery. We saw so many castles too. The hike to the fairy pools was amazing but very cold so be pack accordingly! It was so worth it though. On the way home, we got to feed the heilan coos!

I will recommend anyone traveling to Scotland to book this tour!!! We booked this tour as a group of four friends, we were eight in total, spending the day with Gorrrdon on the Isle of Skye. We have been able to enjoy so many great places and moments that a part of our hearts will always remain filled with them. Anyone traveling to Scotland should be able to experience the Isle of Skye as well; we were not only able to enjoy the great landscape, but also learned a lot about the history and could feel the Scottish pride in their country up close. It was a privilege to have had our first Highland experience with Gordon. Staying there or at least coming back is the feeling left behind.

Best tour we have ever been on! Gordon was absolutely fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable and took us to all of the key sites. The itinerary was packed and went at the perfect pace. His kindness and humor were much appreciated as well. I left my phone on the bus, and he returned it after hours. Can't thank him enough for making our trip to skye one we will never forget. Don't hesitate to book this tour; it's an amazing deal for price
