What people are saying about Hvar Island
This tour is a must!
Our driver/guide was Dinko, he was a very pleasant man whose family have lived on Hvar for over 500 years, so his knowledge of Hvar, its culture and history was excellent. We stopped at a high point lookout for a magic view and some photos, saw old lavender plots, villages that are no longer operational as its residents have moved to town or away , saw beautiful olive trees, and visited the Tomic winery. The wine tasting was conducted by Antonia, she presented all the information in a way that was easy to understand, such history about wine, the area and what the wine means to Croatian people. The tour was informative and the tasting, Wow! We sat in a stunning tasting room, the wines were presented to us with full and detailed descriptions and paired with a small anti pasto plate. Such a great way to spend an afternoon outside the Old Town and learning more about Hvar and its people.
Fabulous- loved every moment
A cultural adventure beyond wine tasting. Our host clearly loved his country and was very knowledgeable on the history and culinary traditions of Hvar. We collected wild herbs and fruit and saw many of the local attractions. The wine tasting was excellent - a fabulous way to taste small batch wines in a lovely location. I would highly recommend doing this tour.
Excellent! So much more than a wine tasting!
We drove all over the island learning about the local agriculture. Our guide pulled over and picked the most delicious mint, oregano and other herbs just off the side of the road. The herbs were far stronger and had unique flavors from anything ive had before. Excellent tour!
It was an incredibly beautiful tour in which you could admire the Hvar landscape! My guide Dinko knew a lot about Hvar and the wine tasting was really great! You could learn a lot about Croatia's wine culture and the wines were great !! Any time
