Jervis Bay has been a Marine park for 18 years and is now one of the most unique and healthy ecosystems in Australia. That’s why the crystal clear waters of Jervis Bay and stunning unspoiled white sand beaches are home to over 100 bottlenose dolphins. Listen to the commentary about the history of Jervis Bay as you travel.  On this tour, you will have the privilege of watching these beautiful mammals. Discover pods of dolphins feeding around the reef systems, particularly Plantation Point and Callala. Sometimes they swim and race hundreds of meters to play on the bow. The Bottlenose dolphin is highly recognizable and known for its long snout and distinctive smile. Friendly and active, you will fall in love with them the moment that you lay eyes on them. 

After picking you up from Sydney Central at 7 am, we drive south to Jervis Bay, one of the most sought-after places in NSW (very Instagrammable!). On the way, we stop over for a quick coffee and/or brekkie. (Own expense) As we arrive in Jervis Bay, we get set to come on board a cruise to visit the local community of dolphins in the bay. Next, explore local cafes or restaurants in Huskisson to savour both good food and beautiful scenery. Then, we go on a kind of ‘beach crawl’ to the loveliest beaches in the area, where we may have a chance to spot some beautiful native birds, dolphins and even wallabies if we are lucky! The highlight of this trip, besides encountering the icon of Australian wildlife, is our stop at Hyams Beach – the whitest sand in the world according to The Guinness Book of Records. That’s where we find the perfect spot to relax and/or explore other beaches, by tracking on the White Sand Walk. As part of our journey, searching for stunning lookouts and wildlife, we will also visit Cave Beach, in the renowned Booderee National Park. That’s where we fully embrace the spirit of nature and spot some wild Kangaroos. We will then conveniently drive you back to Sydney Central, so all you have to do is sit back and relax. A protected marine park for 20 years, Jervis Bay is home to over 80 Bottlenose dolphins who love to frolic in its crystal-clear waters. Embark on a tour and search for the pods of these playful and friendly creatures. While on tour on the pristine waters, take part in the boom netting activity on board. As the boat cruises through the water, enjoy a fun jacuzzi-like experience as you sit in the boom net, sometimes surrounded by curious dolphins.

Set sail on a late-afternoon voyage to the sheltered waters of Currambene Creek. Enjoy an evening of relaxation on calm river waters on a pontoon boat. Feel free to bring your own food and snacks onboard to enjoy as you cruise along the waters of the Currambene River and discover its beautiful ecosystem. Take in the natural beauty of the area as you meander along the riverside. Listen to onboard commentary to learn more about the plants and animals which can be found along the river. Keep an eye out for some of the native pelicans and look out for the giant stingrays. Finally, enjoy a wonderful sunset onboard for a perfect end to your day.

Departure from Sydney: Your day begins with a scenic drive from Sydney at 8:00 AM. Kangaroo Valley: Next, venture inland to the serene Kangaroo Valley, a picturesque region known for its rolling hills, lush greenery, and charming rural village. Visit Hampden Bridge, Australia’s last surviving wooden suspension bridge, and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Take a leisurely stroll through the quaint village, visiting local cafés or boutiques, and soak in the peaceful atmosphere of the countryside. Fitzroy Falls: Head towards Fitzroy Falls, an 81-meter waterfall located in Morton National Park. This awe-inspiring natural wonder cascades into a beautiful valley below, with several lookout points offering stunning views. Easy walking trails lead you to the Fitzroy Falls Lookout, where you can admire the waterfall and the surrounding wilderness. The nearby Fitzroy Falls Visitor Centre provides interesting exhibits on the region’s history, flora, and fauna, enhancing your visit with local knowledge. Grand Pacific Drive & Sea Cliff Bridge: On your return journey, take the scenic Grand Pacific Drive, renowned for its spectacular coastal views. Drive across the famous Sea Cliff Bridge, which extends over the ocean and provides panoramic vistas of the coastline below. A favorite among photographers, this bridge has been featured in numerous films and car commercials, offering a unique experience of driving above the ocean. Bald Hill Lookout: Make a brief stop at Bald Hill Lookout, where you can enjoy sweeping views over the Illawarra region.
