Wake early for a hearty breakfast in your hotel. Then, transfer to the “City of the Dead” in the Valley of the Kings in the Theban Hills. For a period of nearly 500 years, from the 16th to 11th century BC, the Pharaohs and powerful nobles of the New Kingdom constructed their tombs in the valley as part of the Theban Necropolis.
