What to Expect
On this full-day shore excursion you’ll be met at the Chan May port and assisted with exit procedures before heading northward to Hue for some relaxed sightseeing by bicycle.
You’ll pick up your bike in Hue city and head off with your guide to the Royal Palace, the first stop on your tour. This was the seat of the feudal kings in the 19th century. See the Purple Citadel, Ngo Mon Gate, and the Museum of Royal Antiquities.
Continue on to Tu Hieu Pagoda, an ancient Buddhist temple in the center of Hue, before stopping for lunch.
After lunch you’ll take a boat ride on the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda, one of the tallest in Vietnam, and see the Tomb of Minh Mang. You’ll also visit a village where the residents make the traditional conical hats that are seen throughout the country.
