What to Expect
Once you meet your host in central Hue, you can learn to make an authentic delicacy from a wide selection of cakes and dessert soups. Try your hand at putting together a dish just like the locals appreciate it, and make a taste you can savor in the upcoming meal.
The cakes you can practice during the workshop include bánh nậm, a thin rice cake with layers of crushed shrimp, and bánh bột lọc, another shrimp dish made with tapioca flour starch and mixed with meat. These terrific flavors make for some favorite local dishes.
For the soup dessert, you can find plenty of variety, with 36 different options including royal cooking methods and traditional popular dishes, each with its own unique taste. Choose the dish that stands out most for a taste of the rich history around you.
