What to Expect
Your tour guide will meet you at at 8.00 in your hotel lobby (if it is located in the Old Quarter) then bring you on a 1.5-hour drive to the outskirt of Hanoi to visit Thanh Chuong Palace, owned by artist Thanh Chuong. A huge collection, it is constructed of traditional Vietnamese architecture based on Feng Shui art. It is very valuable work of art, which contributes to the preservation and glorification of the culture of Vietnamese society.
Upon arrival, your tour guide will briefly introduce you to Feng Shui art, and the important of the Yin-Yang element in this kind of art. You will also have a chance to learn about the significant impact of this art on Vietnamese life and culture, such as seeking advice from Feng Shui masters before making important life decisions like building new houses, getting married, what to name newborn baby, setting up business or designing and decorating one's house based on Feng Shui theory.
Enjoy the fabulous Vietnamese architecture, comprised of a pavilion, garden, ponds and so forth. Listen to a traditional musical performance by the locals, then be transferred back to Hanoi and take a short walking tour around its Old Quarter, to get deep experience of local life. Then enjoy the best specialties of Hanoi: either Pho (noodle soup with beef), which shows the balance of Yin and Yang, or Bun Cha (fresh vermicelli with the barbecued balls of pork-meat and fresh herb vegetables).
After lunch, your tour guide will take you back to your hotel.
