What to Expect
Learn to cook and prepare a traditional Vietnamese meal at a 3-hour cooking class in Hoi An, and discover the variety of herbs and spices that go into Vietnamese food from the North and South.
You will be picked up from Chan May Port in the morning for the transfer to Hoi An. Upon arrival, go to one of the local markets for a 30-minute tour. Marvel at all the different ingredients, and learn the origin of each. Meet some of the producers and vendors selling exotic items. Vietnamese dishes depend heavily on the use of herbs, so you will catch the sweet aromas of a rich crop of fresh produce.
Then, it’s time to roll up your sleeves and start your cooking class. Your cook will show you how to prepare 4 different dishes depending on what’s in season and available. The best part is you will get to savor your own creation at the end of the class.
Before your transfer back to Chan May Port, enjoy a short tour of Hoi An, admiring well-preserved buildings from the 15th century, and seeing some of the romantic bridges across the Thu Bon River. Return to Chan May Port for a drop off at approximately 17:00.
