Worthwhile and Interesting - something a little different
This was overall a really interesting tour and very worthwhile. I went with my parents who are ~70 years old. Nicole was a good guide, a bit of an aggressive driver, but otherwise knowledgeable. Brian was our tour of the caves and he was excellent. There was enough physical activity to stay engaged - hiking the crater, walking through the lava caves, but also a good amount of time just watching the scenery. The end spa with pools was lovely - just wish we had had more time there before heading back!

It is not a trip to be disappointed with. The waterfalls were beautiful our tour guide had a fantastic sense of humour. It was beautiful to hear the stories behind everything. It may seem like a long day but in actual fact you don’t realise where the time gone. At the end of the day we had the lovely spa experience: the water was warm but the air was turning the water in our hair to ice. It is an experience that I will treasure for the rest of my life.
The local tour company Nice Travel went above and beyond my expectations. My flight was exceptionally late so I missed my pick up time. They made other arrangements to get me to a locaation to meet the tour bus enroute to the second stop of the tour. I can't say enough good things about Nice Travel and their awesome staff. What a great way to make up for a bad airline experience and to start off my vacation in Iceland
The lava tunnel was awe inspiring, with ice forming stalagmites from the overhead drip. The lava formations within the tunnel, were amazing and the guide was extremely informative about the geology of the formation of the tunnel. The waterfalls were breathtaking, with the glacier runoff providing a blue hue to the falls, contrasting the rest of the river they flowed into.
Well planned day trip with amazing views, but the guide was more like just a driver. Not that informative comparing to the other companies and guides. Didn’t interact much with the people. Stopping you somewhere and just directing you where to go and when to come back
