Francesco was amazing! The tour we received was above and beyond anything we had expected. When we walked out from our hotel at 7:30, he was standing, in a suit and tie, waiting for us. I told him we wanted to grab some food real quick, and he said he would take us to Sorrento to have breakfast. And that was the first of many surprises. He was incredibly knowledgeable, the litany of facts and trivia he was producing was amazing. And he is a proud Resident of Naples as well, he even took us on a tour of his neighborhood and schools he attended! The trip was fantastic, certainly the best tour we had this trip (and we took several).

What people are saying about House of the Faun

Excellent tour. We were very late going and the people were extremely accomodating and super friendly. Our tour guide was called Dario and he was very charismatic and knowledgeable. He really brought the place to life as there were very few if any signs telling people what the buildings are. It’s 39€ each which I think is very reasonably priced and definitely worth it especially if it is your first time going like us. Tour lasts for 2 hours which is the perfect timing as it really is quite hot.

The guide was very friendly and gave us a lot of explanations which really helped with understanding how everything worked back then. She was an archeologist so she could also explain us about that! After the tour she gave us some more tips where we should definitely go, and that was also absolutely worth it. We’ve spent 3 hours in the park, and for us it was very nice to do parts with the guide, but also had some free time left for ourselves!

It was well organized and the guide was knowledgeable. We had a great time, and it really helps to have a guide to show you the hilights of this huge place. After the tour you can continue exploring on your own.
