Visit Tra Que, a charming little village on the edge of Hoi An. The village is famous for its sweet scented fresh vegetables that spice up the daily meals of Hoi An people, such as Cao Lau and Quang noodles.
What to Expect
Your local guide will meet you in your hotel lobby, before going to a shop to choose your bicycle. Then you'll ride to a local farm in Tra Que Village, where you'll take a trip around the vegetable garden and join the farmers working the land and fertilizing with seaweed from the local lake. Continue with other tasks such as: raking the ground, sowing, watering greens, picking greens and many more gardening activities.
Spend the rest of the morning working the land, before having a break to prepare lunch with your host family. Your lunch consists of many local delicacies including ”tam huu” spring roll, 'banh xeo' or pancake of the people from the middle region.
After lunch, take a traditional Vietnamese post-prandial nap before learning how to harvest and wrap the vegetables in the afternoon. Then say goodbye to your hosts, and cycle back to Hoi An to visit a Japanese tomb on the way back. The tour finishes at 2.00 pm.
