This day tour is the best way to see the wooden-fronted houses that once belonged to the town’s prosperous merchants and the temple complex at My Son. Explore this UNESCO World Heritage site.
What to Expect
Depart from your hotel in Danang or Hoi An at around 8:00, heading first to the My Son Sanctuary, which was an imperial city during the Champa dynasty (between the 4th and the 12th centuries). It comprises many Champa temples, in a valley roughly two kilometers wide, surrounded by two mountain ranges. You will spend about 1.5 hours exploring this large complex of religious relics that comprises more than 65 architectural works. In 1999, UNESCO designated the site a World Cultural Heritage Site. You will also have a chance to enjoy the traditional Apsara dancing of Cham girls.
Drive back to Hoi An to have lunch at a restaurant and take a walking tour. This includes the former merchant homes in Hoi An's old town, the 400 year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, Phuc Kien Pagoda and the colorful riverside market. You will also see numerous art galleries and tailor's shops, where you can get some made-to-order clothes if you like. You will be returned to your hotel for around 16:00.
