Become a local farmer for the day on an immersive and interactive 5-hour cycling and sightseeing tour of Hoi An. Join local villagers to work on farms, help employment issues and contribute to sustainable tourism projects
Your guide will meet you at your hotel lobby in Hoi An. You will then ride bikes to a charming herb village on the edge of Hoi An, named after the sweetly scented vegetables grown there. Get a feel for small farm life, where locals tend their vegetable gardens.
Continue to Cam Thanh village. During the Vietnam War, the village acted as a shelter for locals and soliders alike. En route, cycle past paddy fields, fields of corn, a forest of nipa palm and shrimp and crab farms. Then, visit a local family to learn how the paddy land is farmed. Follow in the footsteps of the farmers, and ride a water buffalo to cultivate the paddy fields. Plant rice, and discover how it is harvested and irrigated.
Stop for lunch with a local family to experience the local lifestyle of Hoi An’s lovely countryside. Then, cycle back to your hotel full of memories and a better understanding of rural Vietnamese life.
