I liked the small travel to Hobbiton Movie set. There should be seat allocated for family rather then first come and first serve to please your own self. The air conditioning was poor in the bus. I would recommend to take Sun glasses with you on a hot sunny day. Most of the hobbit Houses were closed which were a put off as unable to enter them. The Traveler guide should have a mini speaker with them when explaining about the location at times if you are behind you are unable to Catch up or Listen to her story. At the main pub Only Beer was available there was No fizzy Soda Drink or juice. The Price of tickets are costly, and it’s not cost effective. I know it is a standard Adult Rate there but will appreciate a Price Drop of $30- 40 From $89. Enjoyed some of Hobbiton houses and their surroundings Garden were beautiful.
Our experience from arriving to departing was awesome. The ladies in the souvenir shop (offered to get us on an earlier tour if we were interested, and we were) the facilities (toilets) both at the shire’s rest and the green dragon were amazingly clean and well taken care of. Our tour guide, Kevin, was humorous and informative. Patient as well taking pics for everyone along the way. Perfect service at the bar also. The gentleman at the green dragon (sorry, I missed his name) was also great to be around. Funny little story about how the pie came to be which I enjoyed. Friendly and polite. I have recommended to all my family and friends as well as put a big status on fb about it. Keep up the great work. We will be back!
The absolute BEST day, couldn’t have wished for a better experience. The details are impeccable, the landscapes just stunning. Our guide was full of wonderful facts and movie insights, and made the day so enjoyable. It would have been easy to spend another 30mins looking around, but the 2 hours is good, and held the interest of my 5 year old the whole time. Impressed that the food available didn’t cost an arm and a leg as it does at some attractions, and nice to have a free ale at the Green Dragon as part of the tour. An absolutely wonderful day, highly recommend to all, we have come away even bigger LOTR fans than ever before. Thank you!!
Much better than I expected. I really only went to keep my teenage daughter company and was not expecting to be so impressed. Sitting in beautiful countryside, the sets are amazing. The attention to detail was spectacular. Our guide was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I did think it was a little expensive.
It was a wonderful experience, very knowledgable guide. Was a very hot day, but still enjoyed it. The ale was beautiful, just what i needed. It was rather expensive though at $89. For a family that would be just too much. It was worth going too. I had not seen any of the hobbit movies, but still enjoyed it.
