Hobart: Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary Guided Night Tour

2. Hobart: Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary Guided Night Tour

The Bonorong Night Tour is a group feeding tour with a guide just for your group. Group sizes are kept small to ensure every participant has plenty of opportunity to interact with the critters. You will enter the animals’ world and experience hand-feeding weird and wonderful creatures like Eastern quolls, tawny frogmouths and sugar gliders. You will also be able to help your guide feed the Tassie devils their dinner! In fact, you are going to help feed almost all of the animals in the sanctuary. First it’s dinner time for the daylight dwellers and then the nocturnal animals get their breakfast. A special highlight is meeting the mob of friendly Forester kangaroos. You are also going to meet some incredible survivors as many of the animals are recovering from injury or are orphans. Your guide will show you how you are helping to get the animals back into the wild.

3. Hobart: Mt Wellington Hike & Craft Beer Walk

Enjoy a small group Hobart experience, guided by a Tasmanian local. Start with a short drive to Wellington Park and an introduction to the mountain's history. Visit the mountain summit first, or after the hikes, depending on the weather and cloud cover. Get extensive views over Hobart and beyond from the pinnacle on a clear day. Hike through the Organ Pipes Track, Pinnacle Track, Sphinx Rock, O'Grady's Fall, and the Octopus Tree, up to 8km, with plenty of breaks and a stop at 'the springs' for a hot drink. Spend 1.5 hours enjoying the Hobart waterfront/city or midtown with many foods and drink venues, ask the guide for their favorite, or enjoy a hearty meal at the New Sydney before sampling some afternoon beers. Enjoy some of Tassie's best locally produced independent beers. Sample up to 10 beers and enjoy a good old yarn about Hobart's history along the way. Visit 3-4 venues on this 3-hour walking tour, each with a different take on the scene. Go to cozy pubs, cellar doors, inner-city microbreweries, and brewpubs.
