I'm very happy with the trip to Mount Wellington. The driver drove safely up the narrow road. He was very friendly and made us feel comfortable. Going by bus is a better way to see the mountain. You have an option to hop off, go walking, and hop on the next bus.

Mount Wellington is the best and a must place to visit in Hobart. I suggest to go up to the lookout by bus and walk down on the zig zag track to Fern Tree park where you can either to catch the next Mount Wellington Explorer bus or just a local public transport (in case you might have to wait too much). Up on the top it's very windy and cold, so you need to wear more layers. As you walk down on the track, the temperature rises and the view is breath-taking. The Explorer Bus that takes you up to the top is very clean and punctual, and its driver is very friendly and gives you a lot of information and interesting facts about the mountain and it's history.

Spectacular views of Hobart

I took the Mt Wellington/Kunanyi explorer bus pass. The tour guide picked me up from Hobart Travel Centre on Elizabeth street. It was a guided small group tour and the coach was on time. It was a clear and beautiful day. The roads to the top was winding and narrow. There was full commentary and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and shared great Hobart history. Extremely cold and windy at the top but the views are amazing. Must see in Hobart. I had ample time on the mountain to walk around. It was great way to spend the morning and see Hobart from huge heights. Value for money. Highly recommend.
