Get a unique insight into the history, culture and daily life of the locals in Ho Chi Minh City. Join us on a full-day bike tour to explore some of this vibrant city's most important sights and attractions, along with an authentic Vietnamese lunch.
What to Expect
The tour begins with a meet and greet with our local guide, before we hop on our bikes and head to Ho Chi Min city's bustling Chinatown area.
Along the way we will stop off at the Thien Hau temple, which was built in the early 19th century and is dedicated to Thien Hau, the goddess of seafarers. We will then delve deeper into Chinatown visiting the amazing Cholon and Binh Tay Market for an insight into where locals shop. Stop at a local café for a coffee to watch the hectic pace of life pass by in Ho Chi Minh City.
Following our market visit, we will have a traditional local Vietnamese lunch, featuring "Pho" or other well-known Vietnamese cuisine.
After lunch, we will take a ride to visit more of the city's most important landmarks, including the War Remnants Museum, opened in September 1975 and displaying old military equipment and other related items from the Vietnam War, and the Reunification Palace, formerly known as the Presidential Palace, and the sight of South Vietnam's surrender in April 1975.
We will then visit the Notre Dame Cathedral, the General Post office, and the Opera house, all beautiful examples of architecture from the French colonial period. Finally, explore downtown Saigon, and get a local's point of view on this thriving and pulsating city.
