What to Expect
Make your way to Dong Khoi Street to the famed Saigon Opera House, home to the popular À Ố Show. Marvel at this French Colonial architectural gem, also known as the Municipal Theater of Ho Chi Minh City, completed in 1898 and restored in 1998.
Enjoy complimentary beverages in the lobby before you sit back and enjoy the 1-hour performance. Director Tuan Le, who has worked with Cirque du Soleil, has enlisted the help of expatriate Vietnamese artists to bring this show to life with an energetic mix of dance and acrobatics. Larger-than-life props, such as bamboo poles and giant woven baskets, transport performers across the stage.
Watch the talented cast take a journey through rural and urban Vietnam via a series of theatrical sketches incorporating movement with melodic music. The song lyrics are in Vietnamese, enhancing the scenes of everyday life and igniting the imagination.
The visual effects, stunning choreography, and exuberant energy create a feast for the senses that’s entertaining for all ages!
