Good value for money, guide 'Mike' was informative and jokey, picked up from and to our hotel. We were picked up 10 mins late, and had what I thought was an unnecessary stop on the way, but this turned out to be a good thing, as all other groups arrived early, so when we got there, there was still other groups, but by time we got to the tunnel walking, we were the only ones left, so had the place to ourselves, which was nice.

Depart from Ho Chi Minh City and travel in air-conditioned comfort to the Cu Chi Tunnels, just 60 kilometers from the city center. Learn about the role the extraordinary network of underground rooms and corridors played in the Vietnam War. Pass the peaceful paddy fields and see ducks and water buffaloes swimming in the rivers along the side of road. Try to imagine the destruction and damage caused to the area by the bombing and mines during the long Vietnam War.  Test your aim as you try to fire an AK-47 at the shooting range before heading back to Ho Chi Minh City.

My tour guide (Sally) and driver were very punctual picking me up at my hotel. I however was late and they waited patiently for me. For the record, Sally was one of the friendliest and most knowledgeable guides I've had on any tour in the world. She made a great day even better! The facilities at Cu Chi tunnels are clean, safe and accessible. There are many exhibits and artifacts to see along the tour including multiple versions of tunnels, booby traps, a destroyed tank and artillery. There is also a live-fire gun range. Going into the tunnels themselves is not for the faint of heart! I thought I could make the full 100 meter journey but only lasted 20 meters. There is a small dining area along the trail with a variety of food and beverages for purchase. The tour is very thought provoking and guests should be respectful as it's an actual battle ground. I highly recommend this for people of all ages.
