Spend a day exploring the ancient ruins of the Cao Dai Temple, before heading to the labyrinth of tunnels left by the Vietcong after the American War.
What to Expect
Set out for a day of adventure at the incredible Cao Dai Temple. Just 60 miles (95km) south east of Ho Chi Minh City, this exquisitely decorated temple is home to incredible multi-colored dragons, buddhist swastikas, and the "all-seeing holy eye," a symbol of the Cao Dai sect.
During your day trip, you will set out at 8:00 with an easy drive from Saigon for a tour of this incredible place. See a variety of dragon statues, each one seemingly bigger than the last. Inside of the temple, you will also be amazed to find statues of Jesus, Buddha, and Brahma all standing side by side.
Your guide will share with you interesting stories and history from this ancient temple before you get to witness an amazing ceremony that is held at noon everyday.
After the ceremony, you will head to Cu Chi. This relic of the Vietnam War (American War) was constructed by the Vietcong as a series of underground tunnels to help avoid detection by the Americans. You will have plenty of time to creep around underground through this labyrinth of tunnels before heading back to your hotel in Saigon around 17:00.
