Enjoy a scenic sightseeing tour of North Sealand on a day tour from Copenhagen. Visit the royal monuments of Kronborg Castle and Frederiksborg Castle, as well as the World Heritage site of Roskilde Cathedral. Start with pickup from your hotel in central Copenhagen and travel to the North Sealand region. First, discover Kronborg Castle situated on the banks of the Sund between Denmark and Sweden. Learn about its fascinating history and how it inspired Elsinore in Shakespeare’s “Hamlet.” Then, soak up the romantic setting of Frederiksborg Castle in Hillerød, surrounded by a beautiful lake and gardens. Head next to Roskilde, the former capital of Denmark. Visit Roskilde Cathedral, the burial site of 39 Danish kings and queens, including Ingrid of Sweden, spouse of Denmark’s Frederick IX, father of the current Queen Margrethe II. Explore the Viking Ship Museum to see rebuilt models and excavated ships from the days when the Vikings rampaged their way through much of Western Europe and the North Atlantic. After a day of exploration, relax on the return journey to Copenhagen.

We had a great day from start to finish. Hotel pick up and drop off was a bonus. Sillas was an amazing guide. He told us lots of interesting facts on the journey and at the destinations. It was a taster session in that we visited 4 locations in the day (which also had to factor in travelling time between stops). However, I never felt rushed and had plenty of time to see around most sites. It allows you to see which sites would be worth returning to on another occasion. For me it was a perfect way to see and hear lots of interesting information about Denmark. 10 out of 10 to Sillas and Hamlet tours. If I'm ever back in Copenhagen I'll will travel with them again. Highly recommended

This was one of, if not the best tours we have done. This was down to our guide/driver Sillas. From start to finish he was informative friendly helpful articulate and witty. His explanation at the formal tours like castles cathedrals and Viking boat museum was informative and detailed and easily understood. He also gave a lot of running commentary as we travelled around, some informative some very amusing, but all enjoyable. on top of that Sillas is a good comfortable safe driver. Thanks guys for a great tour.
