  • Hazyview: Elephant Sanctuary Guided Walking Tour

    1. Hazyview: Elephant Sanctuary Guided Walking Tour

Arrive to a warm welcome at the reception and check in for your tour. Refresh yourself with a cup of coffee or tea, or an ice cold glass of water at the events center. On this program you will be guided to the elephant night shelters where the elephants spend their night. Learn about their history, background and diet. After this you will be educated on the internal anatomy of elephants. Walk with the elephants in the forest while the guide tells you all about them and their habits. After the interaction, you will take a “trunk in hand walk” with an elephant for a distance of 40-50 meters. At the end of the program, you will reward the elephants with food that is supplied.

Interesting information given on the anatomy and behaviour of elephants. Knowledgeable and friendly guides/trainers. Most enjoyable experience.

We absolutely loved our full-day Safari at Kruger National Park. We were picked up at 5:30 and taken to the park at sunrise. Our guide Edward Thembo was a very amazing guide. He told us interesting fun facts and stories. We loved listening to his 19 year experiences. What was also very good was the fact that he took us to places most likely to contain the big 5. He even spotted a leopard in the bushes and no one else could! He literally drove past and reversed. It was magnificent as it walked right in front of us! Or guide actually made the safari so fun and a beautiful experience. Honestly he had such a great laugh and made the trip so enjoyable. Thank you so much! If you ever book, please ask for Edward Thembo! ☺️
