What to Expect
Enjoy a picturesque 200-kilometer journey across the island of Oahu, one of the eight main islands of Hawaii. Passing by Diamond Head, drive along the beautiful coast to the famous Halona Blowhole, Sandy Beach, and Makapu’u Point.
Visit the Byodo-In Temple in the Valley of the Temples in Kaneohe, hidden within the beautiful backdrop of the majestic Ko’olau Mountains. Take a moment to enjoy the unique atmosphere of the magnificent temple complex and then take a look at the famous Chinaman’s Hat and Kaneohe Bay.
On the way to Kahuku, pass small villages and picturesque bays in an area primarily known for its shrimp farms.
Continue on to the world-famous beaches on the North Shore and see Sunset Beach, the Banzai Pipeline, and Waimea Bay. The latter is a true paradise for surfers and home to many regular competitions, such as the Vans Triple Crown of Surf. Enjoy time to explore the historical town of Haleiwa, where the many restaurants offer a good opportunity to enjoy a late lunch.
The day concludes with a visit to the Dole Plantation. Learn more about the long history of pineapple cultivation in Hawaii, stroll through the gardens of the plantation, and see various pineapple varieties from around the world.
