Full description
Discover the scenic beauty of Ha Long Bay on an overnight cruise. Experience a UNESCO World Heritage Site of astonishing beauty, and marvel at the limestone karst rock formations and many islands and islets with curious names.
Day 1: Hanoi - Bai Tu Long Bay - Thien Canh Son Cave
Journey by bus or private car to arrive in the city of Ha Long by 12:30 PM. Get a welcome drink and briefing on arrival, and then check in to your cabin for the start of your cruise. Enjoy a delicious Vietnamese lunch at 01:30 PM, and then head to Bai Tu Long Bay between 03:15 PM and 03:40 PM. Pass the towns of Hon Gai and Cam Pha, along with Oan Lagoon and the islets of "Monster Head" and "Teapot." Go to the hidden caves of Thien Canh Son to see the staggering stalagmite and stalactite formations. Take a swim in the emerald waters before continuing on your way. At 06:00 PM, drop anchor in the calm waters surrounding the islet of Cong Dam, and enjoy a sunset party with happy hour. Dinner will be served aboard the boat at 07:15 PM, followed by time to relax with on-board activities from 09:00 PM, such as watching a movie or dancing the night away.
Day 2: Vung Vieng Floating Village - Hanoi
Rise early for a 06:15 AM Tai Chi session on the sundeck. Get some complimentary tea and coffee before breakfast at 07:00 AM. Between 07:45 AM and 09:00 AM, visit the floating village of Vung Vieng and explore by bamboo sampan. Enjoy a short visit to the Pearl Farm to learn how natural pearls are grown. Then, return to your cruise ship or join one of the optional activities, such as sunbathing, a traditional massage or swimming in the emerald waters. At 09:45 AM, you will get 30 minutes to freshen up and finish packing. Then, check out of your cabin by 10:00 AM and go to the dining room for a Vietnamese cooking class. Enjoy a set menu lunch in the dining room at 10:30 AM, and then relax as you cruise back to the harbor. Arrive at Hon Gai Harbor at 11:45 AM, where a van or a car will be waiting to take you back to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi at approximately 04:30 PM to enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
