Explore the natural beauty of Ha Long Bay on this full-day tour from Hanoi. Admire the unique islets as you sail around the bay, enjoy a delicious seafood lunch on board the boat, explore the many grottoes, and go swimming in the crystal clear water.
What to Expect
This full-day tour from Hanoi takes you a discovery of the natural beauty of Ha Long Bay. You will depart early for Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1994 with nearly 3,000 rocky islets. The drive from Hanoi may takes around 3-4 hours, depending on the traffic. Along the way you will pass the Red River Delta, one of the 2 granaries of Vietnam.
Upon arrival in Ha Long, you will enjoy a tasty seafood lunch aboard the boat as you sail around the natural rocky gardens of the bay. Most of the islets here are not inhabited due to the lack of fresh water, but are excellent for cruising to contemplate their miraculous draws on the horizon. Many of them have great names from their inspirational shapes, including the Surprising Cave, Pelican Grotto, Chopstick Rock, Butterfly Rock, Turtle Rock, the Island of Fishman’s Head, the Fighting Cocks, the Sail, the Urn, and the Sea Dog!
Throughout the day you can explore the grottoes, go swimming in the crystal clear water, or just relax on the sundeck with some drinks. The boat will head back to the wharf in the late afternoon, where you will get in the car for the return drive back to Hanoi.
