What People Are Saying About Hanoi
Our guides were fantastic - friendly, funny and knowledgeable. The food and drink was great, and we got to see parts of Hanoi we would not otherwise have known about. Cannot recommend strongly enough.
I booked this foodie tour, Hanoi night light food tour by motorbike. It was my first time on a motorbike, so I was very excited about the tour. My tour guide Alice make the tour very enjoyable and brought me to eat Vietnamese food and desserts, as well as the famous egg coffee. We had a good time taking stunning photos at Long Bien Bridge, West Lake, Tran Quoc Pagoda and rode pass the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. Highly recommend tour in Hanoi!
The private one day trip I made to Mai Chau was very interesting. It is about three hours away from Hanoi by motor car. It is a valley . It is a beautiful place . No doubt about that. An overnight trip would have been more interesting. The bicycle ride around the village was fantastic. The lunch provided was Vietnamese and very good. We passed a misty mountain peak on our way to and back from Mai Chau and the drive was thrilling. The driver was clever enough to drive through.
We had a fantastic tour with our English speaking guide, Lena, with indochina travel in Hanoi, as we trekked through the villages of the hill tribes in northern Vietnam. She was very engaged and informative and also had a fantastic rapport with the ethnic groups. We loved the hospitality of the home stay family, Mrs and Mr Long, and the stunning natural beauty of the villages and surrounds. although it was heavy going the first day (approx 20km) the reward was great when we could swim in the waterfall directly at the base of the home stay to cool off! Of our two weeks in Vietnam this was a definite highlight- I cant recommend it enough! Thanks Lena!
There are a lot of tour companies offering the same itinerary and we really enjoyed our day with Kem. Tam Coc was really beautiful and the temples were the oldest and best preserved we saw in Vietnam. It was well worth the day trip from Hanoi to go out to this area. If you're looking to go an do a boat trip in Tam Coc and see the temples I would highly recommend Charming Vietnam Travel - Local supplier of GYG. Our guide, Kem, made the day special and he really made a big effort for everyone to get the most out of the trip.
