This 5-day Vietnam highlights tour will take you to beautiful destinations in the North of Vietnam such as Hanoi Ha Long, Tam Coc, Perfume Pagoda, Bai Dinh – Trang An, traditional village and Mai Chau.
What to Expect
Day 1: Arrive in Hanoi

- Today’s Activities: Arrive in Hanoi (City tour if you are not very tired)
- Meals: None
Itinerary Detail: Upon arrival at Noibai International Airport, a representative will meet and transfer you to Hanoi old quarter. Hanoi is the the capital of Vietnam, a city of lakes, shaded boulevards and verdant public parks. The rest of the day will be free at your own leisure. Check-in to your hotel and have an overnight stay in Hanoi. (If you are not very tired, a half-day city tour can be organized for your group – Price in tour package is not inclusive this option)

Day 2: Hanoi – Ha Long Bay (Overnight on the cruiser – Group tour)
- Place Transport: Bus and Cruiser
- Today’s Activities: Kayaking, cooking, fishing and sightseeing
- Meals: B, L, D
Itinerary Detail: Ha Noi – Ha Long – Sung Sot Cave – Kayaking – Cooking class (Lunch, Dinner)
7:45 – 8:15am: A car and tour guide will pick you up from your hotel (Hanoi Old Quarter) and depart to Ha Long Bay.
10.00am: Have a short break of about 20 minutes.
12.00pm: Arrive at Bai Chay, Ha Long Tourism Harbor.
12.15pm: Transfer by tender to the Halong 3 stars Cruise. Enjoy welcome drink.
12.30pm: Start cruising to visit Ha Long Bay – one of the new Seven Wonders of the World, UNESCO World Heritage Site and check into your cabin.
1:00 – 2:00pm: Have lunch – enjoy deluxe Vietnamese Set Menu.
2:30pm: Transfer by tender from boat to Surprising Cave (Sung Sot Cave). Walk up for about 100 steps to the cave entrance and tour the cave for approximately 45 minutes.
4:00pm: Enjoy kayaking or relaxing on the cruise.
6:00pm: Have cooking class on the cruise.
7:00 – 8:00pm: Have dinner – enjoy Vietnamese food.
9:00 – 11:00pm: Evening activities are the following: sing karaoke, squid fishing, relax on the sundeck or explore Ha Long Bay by night.
Overnight on the Cruiser.
Day 3: Titop Island – Hanoi (Breakfast, Lunch)
- Place Transport: Cruiser and Car
- Meals: B, L, D
6:00am: Start your day with taichi on the sundeck.
7:15am: Have breakfast.
8:00am: Travel to Ti Top island. Climb to the top of Titop, sightseeing Halong Bay’s panorama view or relax, swim at Ti Top beach.
9:30am: Return to the boat. Check out cabins. Relax and sunbathe on the sundeck while the boat is back on different route.
10:45am: Enjoy a Set Menu served in the dining room while seeing the bay scenery when you approach the pier (passing Fight Cocks, Incense Burner and Stone Dog or have lunch at a restaurant near Halong Harbour).
12:00pm: Transfer by tender to the pier and relax inside the pier building while waiting for return transportation.
12:20pm: Transfer back to Hanoi. You will arrive in Hanoi at approximately 4:30pm.
Day 4: Choose one of 5 options below:
Hoa Lư – Tam Côc
7:45 – 8:30am: Pick-up from your hotel and depart for Hoa Lu – Tam Coc, enjoying the beautiful sceneries of the rural areas on the way.
10:30am: After arriving in Ninh Binh province, the guide will take you to visit Hoa Lu – the ancient royal capital of Vietnam. you will also visit Dinh King Temple and Le King Temple from the 10th century. Find out the heroic histories of these two kings during the Chinese Wars. Afterwards, travel to Tam Coc (10 km far from Hoa Lu) and have lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, you will get on a bamboo boat rowed by local people at Hoang Long River to visit Tam Coc (three caves) on the way. You will pass through three enormous caves that provide a brief respite from the intense summer sun. It takes approximately two hours to go up and down the river and along the way, you will witness local fisherfolk, village life along the river and, of course, the striking limestone karst formations that Tam Coc is famous for. If you like to go biking, it is a good idea. You will have a chance to visit real villages and amazing landscapes by bicycle for about one hour.
4:00pm: Take the car back to Ha Noi.
6:30pm: Arrive in Ha Noi and finish the tour.
7:45am: Pick-up from your hotel and depart for Perfume Pagoda.
10:00am: Arrive at Perfume Pagoda. After a scenic 1.5-hour boat ride along The Yen stream and a 2-hour trek, you will reach Huong Tich Cave which houses the Pagoda of the Perfume Vestige. Next, you’ll then visit Thien Tru Pagoda or "Pagoda leading to heaven" before stopping at a restaurant for lunch.
4:30pm: Afterwards, take a boat trip back to Ben Duc and depart for Hanoi, arriving in the city around 6:30pm.
Bai Dinh – Trang An
8:00 – 8:30am: A tour guide and car will pick you up at your address to depart for Ninh Binh province (98km). Start your tour at Trang An – Bai Dinh Pagoda.
10:30 – 12:00am: Arrive in Buddha prayer place in Bai Dinh Pagoda, the biggest pagoda in Vietnam with 500 La Han statues. The biggest bronze Buddha statue in Vietnam is 10 meters in height and weighs 100 tons.
12:30pm: Have lunch in a local restaurant with some local special dishes such as goat meat with elderberry and pork.
2:30pm: Depart to visit Trang An tourist attraction and then take a boat trip to visit a cave complex: Sang Cave, Toi Cave, SEO Cave, Trần Cave and Quy Hậu Cave to see the mystery and the wildness.
4:00pm: Return to Hanoi in a car.
4:30pm: Arrive back to your hotel in Hanoi. The Trang An – Bai Dinh Pagoda Tour ends.
8:00am: Pick-up from your hotel and depart for Bat Trang Pottery Village. On the way, you’ll have a chance to see some villages located along the two banks of the Red River Dykes. After two hours visiting in Bat Trang, you’ll have lunch at a traditional Vietnamese restaurant.
Visit Ha Dong silk village, known as Van Phuc silk village, Van Phuc, Ha Dong, Ha noi. It is not far from the center of Hanoi, about 10 kilometer. This is the most famous silk village from ancient times. Van Phuc silk was selected under the reign of the Nguyen. Located on the Nhue River, Van Phuc silk village retains many features from ancient times such as the well, lotus flowers, trees… Van Phuc silk village also has a reputation with the silk weaving tradition. Ha Dong silk as well as traditional crafts of the trade villages in Hanoi are often depicted in ancient poetry. According to legend, about 1,200 years ago Ms. A La Thi Nuong living in Cao Bang was a famous person skillful at weaving in Van Phuc village. She brought the secrets of Chinese weaving silk to teach people who lived in the village. When she passed away, she was respected as tutelary deity.
Van Phuc village still retains intact traditional values. In general, the special features of Van Phuc silk and in particular, Hang Van silk is warm in the winter and cool in the summer, wearing it people find it soft and gentle. Decorative patterns on silk are diverse such as Song Hac sample, Tho Dinh sample, Tu Quy sample… and it always follows the traditional methods.
8:00am: You will be picked up at the meeting point and depart for Mai Chau with a tour guide.
11:30am: Arrive in Mai Chau, rest and have lunch.
1:30pm: Visit Lac Village and explore daily life of the ethnic minorities. Participate in brocade with Thai girls.
4:00pm: Say goodbye to Mai Chau and return back to Hanoi by car.
7:30pm: Overnight stay in Hanoi.
Day 5: Hanoi Free Day
