Enjoy a full-day tour from Hanoi to Bat Trang by bike. Cycle along cornfields and fruit plantation areas and visit the village that is famous for ceramic and pottery products.
What to Expect
Your guide meets you at your hotel. You will get a short briefing about the bikes. Then begin the biking day tour along the Red River, go along the Long Bien Bridge that was one of the greatest engineering accomplishments of the French colony and a showpiece of colonial infrastructure.
After crossing the Red River, you continue riding along the dyke for some kilometers before joining a small biking trail that furrows among pop corn, vegetable, and fruit gardens. Cycle on the back roads amidst the wild nature. Passing the villages, have the chance to see a lush green rice fields, cornfields, vegetable and fruit plantation areas. This is the biggest vegetable and herbs area of Hanoi. You also see kumquat fruits, grape fruits and peach flower blossom here. Ride through banana farm, fruit farm.
After about two – three hour cycling, arrive to Bat Trang village, a small village in the north of Việt Nam on the other side of the Red River. The village is famous for ceramic and pottery products of high quality. After lunch, take a short walk to visit the village, discovering the village ceramic market, the Bat Trang temple, Bat Trang communal house. Explore the real life by walking through tiny alleys that furrow continuously right and left. Before taking the ride back, stop by a local workshop where you learn all the steps of making a pottery. Then we enjoy two more hour cycling back to Hanoi. Tour end at your Hotel in Hanoi.
