Cuc Phuong National Park is Vietnam’s largest national park and one of the most important sites for biological research in the country. The ancient forest of Cuc Phuong contains almost 2000 species of trees, as well as an amazing variety of rare animals. At the park's Endangered Primate Rescue Center, you will be able to see two of the rarest primate species in the world: the critically endangered Delacour and Cat Ba langurs.
The breathtaking valley of Mai Chau is endowed with pristine mountain scenery, fanciful grottoes, rocky streams, and impressive waterfalls. Here you will experience the traditional daily life of ethnic minority groups as well as you enjoy an overnight homestay, granting you a truly unique experience of Vietnam.
Day 1: Hanoi – Cuc Phuong National Park (Meals: L, D)
In the morning, transfer to Cuc Phuong National Park from Hanoi. Upon arrival, visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Center. Then trek through the jungle valley to see a 1000-year-old tree and enjoy the beautiful flora and fauna. Visit the Cave of Prehistoric Man. Continue to a village occupied by the Muong ethnic people, one of the largest of Vietnam’s ethnic groups. Overnight in Cuc Phuong National Park.
Day 2: Cuc Phuong – Mai Chau (Meals: B, L, D)
After breakfast, say good bye Cuc Phuong and transfer to Mai Chau, a beautiful area, and most people here are ethnic White Thai. Arrive in Mai Chau, local lunch then trekking to visit Lac village and Poom Coong village to experience their local lifestyle (Biking trip available upon request). Overnight home-stay in the village.
Day 3: Mai Chau – Hanoi (Meals: B, L)
Wake up at the homestay and enjoy breakfast. After breakfast, trek to 1000-Step Cave and visit a local market.
Enjoy lunch at the homestay then transfer to Hanoi at the end of the day, where you'll be dropped off at your hotel.
