What to Expect
Enjoy an amazing 2-day adventure at Halong Bay on a beautiful cruise vessel. Get spectacular views of the karst limestone mountains and tiny islets as you swim or kayak to fishing villages. Sample amazing food, and watch spectacular sunsets. Named a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the scenery is sublime and the atmosphere truly romantic.
Day 1: Hanoi - Halong (L/D)
Depart from Hanoi and head east for about 3.5 hours through the Red River Delta to Halong Bay, the pride of the Tonkin Gulf and a Natural World Heritage Site as designated by UNESCO twice, in 1994 and 2006. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed on board the high-class cruise vessel to explore the unique landscape of the “Descending Dragon” Bay.
Sit down to a delicious seafood lunch, served by the crew as you sail. Cruise around tiny islets and visit fascinating grottoes. There will also be the chance to climb to the peak of Titov Island for panoramic views of the bay. Swim, kayak, or just enjoy the sun on the relaxing sundecks. At sunset the boat will anchor in a quiet area, while dinner is served before your overnight stay on board.
Day 2: Halong - Hanoi (B/Brunch)
Wake up to a reviving coffee and light breakfast before sailing back to Halong City. The boat will pass strange-shaped rocks that evoke comparisons with fighting cockerels and dragons, ship sails and chopsticks.
Enjoy a farewell brunch before returning to the wharf at Halong City at approximately Midday. Then relax on the drive back to Hanoi for your hotel drop-off in the afternoon.
