What to Expect
Your shore excursion begins when you’re welcomed at the Hai Phong cruise ship port and assisted with the exit procedures, and then head out on the drive to Hai Phong city.
During this 6-hour private tour you’ll see ancient Vietnamese architectural sites in Hai Phong, including the Du Hang Pagoda, the center of Buddhism in the city. This graceful temple was built in 17th century, in typical northern Vietnamese style.
At the Pagoda you’ll admire the intricate wood carving, bronze statues, and the bonsai collection at the front. See the Hang Kenh Pavillon, dedicated to the Vietnamese hero Ngo Quyen, who liberated Vietnam from nearly 10 centuries of Chinese domination. The Pavilion is noted for its 500 wooden bas-reliefs, objects of worship, and its unique, boat-shaped floor.
See other top attractions of Hai Phong as well, such as the city’s cathedral, the Nghe Temple, and Ga Market.
At the end of the tour you’ll be transferred back to your cruise ship at the Hai Phong port.
