I loved this tour! A perfect winter excursion brought us out of the eternal city to the hilltop countryside - in just 40 min. Our guide Joseph/Giuseppe introduced us to a magical place on an easy meandering walk, that never felt strenuous, yet covered lots of ground. Passing the olive trees at the villa, we saw a model of how it used to look, then, got a lot of great pictures throughout the tour of the grounds and 1st century structures. Lunch in Tivoli was was lovely. Followed by an active trip around Hadrian's gardens, full of gorgeous murals, fountains and an unmatched view. 5 stars. I would definitely repeat this tour. Plus our tour group was the best!!! Grazie from Chrissy!
We had a fantastic day with our guide who lived locally to Tivoli. He was so knowledgeable and fun. Unfortunately the fountains at Villa d’este were not working due to heavy rainfall but absolutely not due to tour operator. Had a lovely lunch in recommended restaurants and our party all enjoyed each other’s company.
The overall experience was very good. The tour group was a good manageable size and paced quite well. Guiseppe did a nice job with communicating the history and keeping the group engaged while allowing time to explore independently.
The instructions re the meeting point were very clear. The coach driver was very good. The guide Guiseppe was extremely knowledgeable and good at communicating. He was also very patient with the group.
The group was small and everyone was so friendly. We enjoyed not only sightseeing but also communication with participants. Our guide was very friendly and true expert of Tivoli.
