Admire the beauty of your surroundings and the Double Island Point Lighthouse from a unique perspective. Bottlenose dolphin pods are often seen in the area, feeding on large schools of fish. They’re often as curious about you as you are about them. Spot other local and migrating wildlife, including humpback whales (June-November), turtles, manta rays, stingrays, and a variety of sea birds.

Cruise or canoe the tranquil waterways of Australia's only Everglades. A courtesy shuttle is available from 8 transit stops within Noosa and surrounds (departures start from 7.45am). Take in the spectacular network of wetlands and waterways on board the eco boat or transfer to the canoe launch site, grab a paddle and canoe 5km to the historic Harry's Hut.  The pristine wilderness is surrounded by sub tropical landscapes, untouched for thousands of years and offer spectacular photo opportunities. This is your chance to immerse yourself amongst nature and the natural beauty of this unique eco system. Australia's Everglades are found in the Northern end of the Noosa River system and stretches across 2 UNESCO Biosphere Reserves (Noosa and Great Sandy). Pure freshwater pulses out of the Cooloola Sandmass and filters through the tea tree-infused ecosystem into this unique river system, creating the most spectacular reflections.  After your Everglades experience you can purchase lunch at the onsite bar and bistro or a craft beer from the micro-brewery. Start your tour with pickup in Hervey Bay, the gateway to K'gari (Fraser Island). Then relax on the 40-minute cruise across the Great Sandy Marine Park to the island. Keep your eyes peeled for dolphins and turtles. Explore some of the most beautiful spots as you listen to fascinating facts about the island’s history. Over the two days, you’ll travel in between sites in the air-conditioned comfort of a 4WD coach. Visit Central Station to admire the towering trees, and learn why K'gari was so valuable to the timber industry. Stroll along the Wanggoolba Creek boardwalk and explore the subtropical rainforest in Pile Valley. Relax on the sandy beaches around Lake McKenzie. As an optional extra, you can take a scenic flight over the island from here. Float down Eli Creek, and see the famous Maheno shipwreck. Be amazed by The Pinnacles colored sands and hear the Dreamtime tale of how they were formed. See the spectacular Indian Head while cruising up 75 Mile Beach. Visit the Champagne Pools and slip into this amazing natural jacuzzi, formed by the crashing waves. Trek across the Hammerstone Sandblow and take a dip in Lake Wabby.   Stay overnight at the K'gari Beach Resort and on the end of the second day, board the 5:00 PM ferry back to River Heads. The shuttle service will take you back to your accommodation from there.

Today starts with a pick-up from your Darwin accommodation at around 9:00 AM. Listen to interesting commentary about the region from your knowledgeable guide as you make your way to Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve. Originally set up as a large scale rice growing project in the 1950s, this location is now a haven for many varieties of birds that you'll get a chance to admire. A short drive from there takes you to the “Window on the Wetlands” Information Centre, where you can enjoy a hands-on display explaining the wetlands and get a fantastic view over the Adelaide River floodplains from their upper viewing deck. Your highlight for the day is an amazing 2.5-hour cruise on the wetlands! See an abundance of birds, crocodiles and wildlife in their natural habitat on the Mary River Wetlands. Home to a huge variety of animals, birdlife and also boasting the largest concentration of Saltwater Crocodiles in the world, these pristine wetlands are a nature lover's paradise. Participants generally see about 30 different species of birds on these cruises! Enjoy a delicious cold lunch on the wetlands, surrounded by nature at its best, as you get up close and personal with plenty of local wildlife. Lunches are healthy and consist of individual pre-packed fresh salads with dressings. There will also be a selection of cold sliced meats and bread so you can make sandwiches if you wish. From here it is just under a 90-minute drive to return you to your Darwin accommodation at around 5:00 PM.

Begin your 3-hour adventure with a 4WD beach drive in the Great Sandy National Park. Head to the spectacular Double Island Point to enjoy scenic views of Fraser Island and the colored sands of Rainbow Beach. The journey crosses the Mary River as you travel around an abundance of curves, over bridges, and numerous gentle hills. The line wanders away from the river and into the valleys of some of its main tributaries including the Yabba, Kandanga and Amamoor Creeks, and passes through the small township of Dagun. The quaint community of Amamoor is a delightful historic town bordered by a verdant forest reserve, home to more than 120 species of birds. Here you can watch the fascinating process of the turning of the engine on the turntable.

Spend the day soaking up the spectacular natural beauty, hiking through lush monsoon rainforests, and swimming in pristine plunge pools surrounded by steep escarpments. Depending on conditions, you may visit Motor Car Falls, Moline Rockhole, Maguk (Barramundi Gorge), or Jim Jim Falls. Time permitting, stop at Nourlangie Rock, a rock art site where archaeologists uncovered works dating back over 20,000 years. Explore the evolving cultural and environmental changes to the area, before returning to camp for dinner and a well-earned rest. Visit Buley Rockholes, Wangi Falls, or Florence Falls for a refreshing soak in picturesque rock holes and waterfalls.
