This tour will take you around Xi’an by visiting the top two tourist sites: the Li River and the Flute Cave. Then, to ensure that your feet aren’t exhausted from your travels, you’ll enjoy a foot message.
What to Expect
You will be picked up from your downtown Guilin hotel around 08:00 to take the Li River Cruise. The morning Li River Cruise upstream is the perfect way to enjoy the scenery and beautiful surroundings. Get off the boat at a small village, where you’ll have the opportunity to visit a local family and see the way that people live in the area. Then you’ll continue to ride to Yangshuo, a small town that has exploded into a tourist mecca. Here, people come to enjoy the scenery and bike in the karst-peak surroundings, or to rock climb. There are over 200 known routes, mostly single-pitch bolted climbing routes, but also many multi-pitch sport routes. While in Yangshuo also have some time to stop at the ‘World’s Biggest Market’ to pick up some things for yourself or souvenirs for friends or family.
You’ll have your lunch on the cruise. Upon your arrival at Yangshuo your guide will take you to have a walk along the West Street. This is a tiny S-shaped street running through the street which is mainly inhabited by foreigners now, hence its name. The street itself has over 1,400 years of history, when there were only a few grocery stores on the street. Currently, it is one of the mixing places of traditional, modern, and foreign culture.
Afterwards, you will go back to Guilin to visit the Reed Flute Cave. The Reed Flute Cave is located about five kilometers northwest of downtown Guilin, the Reed Flute Cave is a brilliant cave marked on almost all travel itineraries. The cave got its name from the verdant reeds growing outside it, with which people make flutes. Inside this water-eroded cave is a spectacular world of various stalactites, stone pillars and rock formations created by carbonate deposition. Illuminated by colored lighting, the fantastic spectacle is found in many variations along this 240-meter-long cave. Walking through the serried stone pillars, tourists feast their eyes on changing spots, feeling they are in a paradise where the Gods live.
After this, your feet will be in need of a foot massage before heading back to the hotel, this ensures that you are able to continue exploring for the rest of your stay in China!
