What People Are Saying About Guanacaste

Just what I had hoped for. Great for Families-- ages 7 to 77!!

We had a small group and we were able to see crocodiles (even babies), exotic birds, and two kinds of monkeys! Our guide would not give up until we saw the monkeys and it made our day! The guide was fun and shared a lot of great Costa Rica knowledge with us. This was NOT the most expensive river tour, we searched around, but it was THE BEST! (FYI...all tours are on the same river and use the same type of boat so no need to go for the most expensive).

It was amazing-Ray the guide was knowledgeable and fun

The guide Ray was knowledgeable, informative, and fun. We saw white-throat campion monkeys, howler monkeys, iguanas, basilisks, bats, crocodiles, and lots of birds. We even had a monkey on our boat! Lots of fun.

Great experience, very knowledgeable guide.

We really enjoyed the river float. The morning got off to a great start with an unexpected empenada-like snack from a street vendor that we enjoyed during the drive. We stopped at the restaurant to place our lunch order and use the facilities before heading to the river. We floated along the Tenorio because the Corobici was too low. Our guide was very knowledgeable about all the flora and fauna we saw along the river. We saw howler monkeys, white-faced monkeys, a coati, crocodiles, iguanas, and way too many birds to name. We were provided with a snack of fresh pineapple and bottled water while on the river. We enjoyed the stop at the jaguar rescue center but wished we could have stayed longer. When we arrived at the restaurant our table of four was served a pitcher of fresh carambola juice. Our meals arrived shortly thereafter. The food was good, not great, but was enjoyable. We really enjoyed the day and highly recommend this activity.

Excellent Costa Rica adventure all in one place!

This was an amazing day! We started with horse back riding through their extensive property. The horses were easy going and knew the way so it didn't take much for the novice riders. Next we took a school bus to the next stop on their property. This was the white water tubing. What a beautiful and fun adventure. Just the right amount of rapids. We had a wonderful buffet lunch back at Hacienda Guachipelin followed by the zip lining. This felt slightly rushed, but was still a lot of fun. We purchased a DVD of our pics and video for $40 at the end. The last part of the day is the mud baths and hit springs. Since we stayed at the hotel we had already done this the next before. Make sure to bring your camera!!

Fantastic time, the staff went out of their way to make our wonderfull

We started on horseback with my 4 year old grand daughter riding with me, our second event was the tubing thrill, the guide placed my 4 year old in her own tube and rode with her the whole time. The zip line was great, a little frighting at times, especially the last zip where all 6 of us wound up on a platform approx 80 feet over the gorge . We then had to scale a wall to a lower level on the wall where we were hooked to a rope and shoved to another level across the gorge. I must say we were safely attached at all times to another guide line.
