  • Granada: Los Cahorros de Monachil Canyon Hiking Tour

    1. Granada: Los Cahorros de Monachil Canyon Hiking Tour

Meet at the starting point and travel in an 8-seater van to the village of Monachil, 15 kilometers from Granada. Begin your route in the lower part of Sierra Nevada, an area of canyons and rivers. Hike for 2 to 3 hours and enjoy the peaceful surroundings and make several stops along the way. The trek's degree of difficulty is relatively easy and is family friendly, but for some sections, you will have to walk in a crouch. Appreciate the beauty of the place and take pictures. After your tour is over, you will be able to remember your experience from several free photos taken by the guide with a professional camera.

Good tour. Great place. Tour guide nice, knowledge, very present. Only issue would be a better grasp of English speech and understanding. Overall no complaints, really enjoyed the experience!

  • Granada: High Sierra Nevada Hiking Experience

You will also encounter beautiful lakes, waterfalls, and shiny rocks, as well as wildlife such as mountain goats, eagles, birds migrating from Africa, and insects and plants that only exist here. This is an easy but beautiful hike, off the beaten path. Your guides know the best secret spots in Sierra Nevada after more than 30 years hiking here. Your tour will eventually conclude in a beautiful panoramic restaurant, where you will enjoy a refreshing drink.

We really enjoyed our trip and would really recommend it to anyone considering it. The guide knew the area very well and we felt safe with him. We got to see mountain goats and cows on the way up to the peak as well as plants and insects not found elsewhere. You need reasonable fitness for this trip and no fear of heights as you'll be going high. The views are great though and it was strange seeing and touching snow in Spain, and in July too!
