Full description
To begin, you will be picked up at your hotel by your guide and driver and travel to The Alpujarra in an air-conditioned car. Once you arrive, check out towns such as Pampaneira, Bubión, and Busquistar where you will be able to admire Arabian architecture and fountains. The water that comes down from the Sierra Nevada is very important to the area. See an artisanal jarapa (a thick fabric used to make traditional rugs and other textiles) workshop and admire local crafts before enjoying a tasting of local artisanal chocolate.  Then, head to Trevelez, a town famous for curing ham in the special Sierra Nevada air. Gastronomic traditions are rich in these towns. The local partner will be able to recommend restaurants where you can try dishes such as Alpujarreño, a typical dish that includes a range of fried foods. After the conclusion of the tour, transfer back to your hotel in Granada.
