What people are saying about Gramvousa

Overall rating

4.2
(3,837 reviews)

The tour was truly fantastic and offered breathtaking natural experiences. What was particularly impressive was the balanced mix of action and relaxation, which made the trip perfect for everyone. Sturdy shoes are recommended in order to be able to comfortably master the sporting activities. One small suggestion for improvement is purely subjective and therefore no stars were deducted for it: The stay on Balos beach was scheduled for 2.5 hours, which seemed a bit too short for us. An additional hour would have given us the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of nature for even longer. Extending the trip until 6:40 p.m. instead of 5:40 p.m. would have been ideal. Overall, we can recommend this trip without reservation. The organization was excellent from start to finish - from getting to the port, to finding the ship, to the entire tour, everything was well thought out.

The whole activity lasted just over 11hrs. About 3.5hrs of that was quality time between balos lagoon and gramvousa. Both equally beautiful places and plenty of photo opportunities. Be sure to walk up to the Venetian castle , 400 steps in total , its steep , uneven and not your standard size step either , some are high. It’s worth it though , with amazing views from the top. No food and drinks outlets on either the islands , bring your own or buy from the boat. It’s a busy boat, there were 600 people on ours and apparently the day before it was 1200. The boat is part of the experience though with ice cold draught beer to be enjoyed on the top deck with stunning views. Our tour guide Irene was lovely and very helpful , she made sure she spoke with everyone and delivered interesting facts about Crete . You must visit, it’s a long day but you won’t be disappointed!

The most incredible trip from start to finish, great sites and the speedboat is the best way to see it all avoiding large crowds and getting to experience the best Crete has to offer

The ideal cruise, because no time wasted making detours to other islands! 3 hours on site! Bring your swimsuit and towel! Beautiful place!

Trip wa well planned, pickup was on time. Although we bought our own food, there is ample amount of food available to buy on the cruise.
