We had a fantastic day with our guide Elvis. He is very funny and often made us laugh. Elvis gave us lots of information about the animals and did everything he could to ensure that we could see different types of animals. Since everyone was given a pair of binoculars, we were able to observe the animals from a distance. In addition to many species of antelope and birds, we saw warthogs, buffalos, several herds of elephants, zebras, turtles, mongooses and meerkats. Last but not least, thanks to Elvis, we were lucky enough to be able to watch 3 lionesses dismembering a warthog from a short distance, right in front of our eyes. Adrenaline, excitement and disbelief all at the same time. So a thousand thanks to Elvis for the great experiences and sightings with the animals. Take care of our environment and animals. No matter where you are.
We enjoyed the trip and the food was very delicious. Unfortunately we saw only 2 of the big five but it’s wonderful to see that the animals can walk freely which means that you have small chances for some. You are very likely to see kudus, zebras and elephants but lions are rarer and leopards are super rare. It also depends on your participation. The driver has to concentrate on the road as well and it’s easier if everyone is looking. Unfortunately the driver sometimes was distracted with his phone. Besides that we got a lot of information and interesting facts and the drivers were very nice.
We were amazed at the dedication with which Merilin from Sundays River Tour tracked down and explained all of the Big Five. The tour left nothing to be desired...
Elvis was a great Guide - we even got to see a lion! It was a very nice day with great people, good food & lots of animals.
It was great, we experienced the animals up close. The trip is really recommended
