Stop in the historic village of Hahndorf, one of the most important German settlements in the region. Wander through the town and be charmed by its quaint 19th-century architecture.

Afterward, take a scenic drive through the Barossa Valley, where you’ll stop in Lyndoch at the Kies Winery. Famed for its prolific production, enjoy a wine tasting alongside lunch at this family-run vineyard.

  • Adelaide: 3.5-Hour Guaranteed Wild Dolphin Watching Cruise

    3. Adelaide: 3.5-Hour Guaranteed Wild Dolphin Watching Cruise

Enjoy a half-day cruise looking for some of the world’s most delightful creatures, departing from Marina Pier, Holdfast Shores, Glenelg. Dolphins are among the earth’s most curious mammals and you will get up-close-and-personal with the beautiful beasts from the decks of the Temptation catamaran. You will be welcomed on board the 58-foot sailing vessel by an enthusiastic crew. Sometimes you will see your first dolphins within minutes of cruising. They seem to come out of nowhere to play around Temptation’s hulls. But be assured they are not coaxed in any way. These are wild dolphins that simply know the vessel, and know that they are not in any danger. As the gulf is home to over 1,000 common and bottlenose dolphins, the cruise comes with a money-back guarantee of sightings. The dolphins are only just out of reaching distance from the deck, enabling you to capture their playful display...

An amazing experience and a wonderful start to the day. The crew were very friendly and informative.

Hi, the wine tour we did on 29 May 2021, was great. The guide/driver was very knowledgeable and personable, and he drove with excellent safety and care. I enjoyed each of the wineries, the first one was the best (Gomersal Wines) as the owner gave us a great introduction and history of her vineyard and it felt much more personal than the larger wineries. The only real let down for me was the average lunch. I know it was a platter of local produce and it went well with the wine, but in hindsight I would prefer a more sumptuous lunch, maybe a selection of steaks, fish, poultry and pork, cooked to our liking, but then again the price would have to increase. As it was, I had a pleasant day, my co-worker enjoyed his first wine tour and it was with a great bunch of people who all become friends by the end of the day. Thanks heaps, I'd certainly go with you again, maybe to the other wines regions near Adelaide next time I'm in town. Thanks and cheers :)
