Full description

Embark on a guided walking tour around all the main sites of the city, giving you an excellent opportunity to get your bearings of the city and find out about its history and culture. See the growth of Glasgow from where it began to where it is now and how the vibrant culture that exists today was born through its rich history. The tour lasts around 1.5 hours and will incorporate a break to give you a chance to visit the Necropolis and spend a penny. The tour is about 3 miles long so please bear this in mind. The tour will take a look at famous figures to Glasgow, such as St. Mungo, and their stories as we go through the city. Key sights visited include George Square, Glasgow Cathedral and Necropolis, Iconic Street Art, High Street, Ingram Street, and The Duke of Wellington, plus explore some hidden treasures of the city that you wouldn't see by yourself!

Walking with a guide is a great way to get a close look at Glasgow. The guide was good in communicating her knowledge about the city and took the group to exciting city sights of great interest. We felt safe and well taken care of on the whole trip. Good value for money.

This tour was really great. The tour guide was very inclusive of the crowd. Asked us questions, made jokes and included us throughout the whole tour. We got through a lot of history during the short time and the tour guide gave us lots of free places we could visit after the tour. The walking wasn’t too bad at all although if you are older, there are some steep spots we have to get through! Overall it was really fun and a great way to learn about Scotland!

Enjoyed the Glasgow City walk. Our guide was very knowledgeable and loved her city; her enthusiasm was infectious. Always enjoy the Get Your Guide walks as they provide a nice introduction to an area. I would have liked to walk through the Nacropolis and heard more about the cemetery. Learned a lot about the span of Glasgow history. Liked that it was a small group.
