Full description

Embark on a full-day guided bus tour of the Scottish Highlands from Glasgow. Marvel at the wild beauty of the Scottish countryside and visit highlights, including Loch Lomond and Loch Ness.

Head north towards the Highlands and admire the lush pastures of the Scottish countryside from an air-conditioned bus. Stop for a cup of tea or coffee at a café on the shores of Loch Lomond before ascending into the Highlands.

Traverse the desolate landscape of Rannoch Moor and the Black Mount to Glencoe, the site of the 1692 massacre of the MacDonald clan. Learn about the events and history of the area from your guide. After lunch in the Fort William area, pass beneath Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis, and into the Great Glen. At Loch Ness, opt for a sightseeing cruise on the loch or choose to admire the views from the shore.

On your way back to Glasgow, cross the Grampian Mountains and admire the woodland scenery of Perthshire, including the Forest of Atholl.

We really enjoyed our day trip through the highlands. We saw so many stops with the knowledgeable guide James. Stephen was a smashing good driver. If you only have a day to explore and want to see the highlands this is the way to go. Comfortable coach, well timed bathroom stops, beautiful scenery. Do realize the stops are short, but there are a lot of things to see on the trip.

Scotland is always beautiful scenery any time of year, done similar trips and is just fascinating every time, just wish you could have more time to spend in the villages or places in tour…this time an elderly person came with us and it was just perfect for slow walking with a cane… it is always a must to go on tour

We loved our tour, and we’re planning to book again for a longer trip. We enjoyed our tour guide’s commentary and the occasional (recorded) song that helped contextualise key historic events. The small coaches were comfortable, with large windows for excellent views. We appreciated the communication from the provider and the guide team across both buses on our trip, and the team did their best to provide a great trip even though we faced issues with road closures. We recommend you take heed of the important info on timing and punctuality! Other passengers not being on time was the most annoying thing about the trip.
