What People Are Saying About Giant’s Causeway
Take friends or family or something to read or listen to for entertainment on the 3,5 hours bus drive each way, there is no narration included. Once you have arrived on the northern coast of Ireland, you will experience fascinating landscapes of the cliffs and the island with a 30m long rope bridge high above the water. You need to walk several distances (~2,5km, ~1km, each one way) from parking lot to cliffs or bridge, to cliffs a seperately payed bus (<2€ one way) can be used to cover the part to the main cliff. But especially at the cliffs you can also hike along a round trip of 3-5km with height differences of about 200m altogether including about 130 steps. The timespan is limited, 2,5 hours for the cliffs, 40min for rope bridge incl. all walking distances, so you need to be focussed on walking between the sightseeing and taking photos. There were two additional short stops at the remains of a castle (5 min.) and an alley with old trees (25 min, nice), sites of game of thrones.
The service was good, but we had to visit the rope bridge rushing because 3 quarters time wasn't enough to go on foot til where the bridge, cross it and walk back to the bus. We got breathless.
I highly recommend this tour but the best way to visit the place is departing from Belfast. The seats inside the bus quite tight.
