Calgary: Scenic Cochrane and Canmore Sidecar Motorcycle Tour

Calgary: Scenic Cochrane and Canmore Sidecar Motorcycle Tour

This 5.5-hour adventure leads to the Rockies by way of a less-traveled, more scenic roadway. From your pickup location in Calgary, head to Cochrane and its quaint, old western downtown streets. The drive along the Cochrane Hill highway offers views into the mountains and over the ranch landscape that lies on the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains. From Cochrane, glide along the picturesque Highway 1A. The speed of travel is such that you’ll have a chance to enjoy the scenery and snap photos of wildlife as you pass by. Enjoy the ride past lakes and rock faces, as well as sweeping highway corners that reveal portions of the Bow River Valley. Arriving in Canmore, tour the townsite and visit the Alpine Centre, home of the 1988 Olympic biathlon and cross-country skiing events. A lunch stop at one of the local eateries, depending on your food preferences, is available at your cost. The return to Calgary can be along the 1A or along the Trans-Canada Highway as per your choice.

Kept us from being bored! We started driving from Calgary airport towards Banff National Park and we timed the audio tour to start playing when we got into the mountains about an hour out, since the driving took 2 1/2 hours, but the tour is only almost 1 1/2 hours. We timed it perfectly and the tour went really well, as it described the places and history of them, as we went by. Good value, as there’s a set cost for up to 8 people that was less than $7!

Great way to see the awesome scenery from Calgary to Canmore. Warren and Nicole are knowledgeable tour guides and make the tours very interesting. Highly recommend this company!

Please, a French version would be greatly appreciated to take full advantage of the information and the landscape.
